Community Planting Day
A community-led initiative to restore Darjeeling’s diminishing forest cover by planting native tree species at St. Paul’s School Compound, combining environmental action with educational awareness for sustainable impact.
About the Event
A collaborative tree plantation drive bringing together students, local residents, and environmental advocates to plant 500+ native Himalayan tree species within the historic grounds of St. Paul’s School.
Purpose of the Event
Kalpavriksha Welfare Society is organizing this plantation drive to address the urgent issue of deforestation in the Darjeeling Himalayas, which has led to soil erosion, landslides, and biodiversity loss.
